Put one at the main gate after finding it open three mornings in a row. Turns out it was the feed delivery driver cutting his run short, not the kids like I assumed. Zoomed in and could clearly read the plate on the ute. Good camera.
Mounted it on the calving shed in about 20 minutes flat. Checked on the cows from the kitchen at 2am instead of pulling boots on in the cold. That alone was worth it.
Battery stayed above 80% after a solid week of rain, which surprised me. Had to shift the solar panel slightly because the shed roof shaded it in the afternoon. Fine since then. Would buy again.
Our entrance is over a kilometre from the house so WiFi was never an option. The 4G unit has been rock solid. Got an alert on my phone while I was in town and could see a stock truck waiting at the gate.
Cameras on the lambing paddock, hay shed, and workshop. First night one of them picked up a fox nosing around behind the pens. Night vision was clear enough to see exactly where it had come through the fence, so we fixed that section the next morning. Alerts go a bit busy when the wind picks up, but that's a minor thing to adjust.
Mounted it over the workshop so it looks across the cattle crush and the side gate. We had a wild dog come through at 1:17 in the morning — the recording showed exactly which field it headed into. Wish I'd ordered the three-pack from the start.
I check the machinery shed every evening on the app before bed. Picture is sharp and it covers both roller doors from one mounting point, which is what I needed.

One on the diesel tank, one at the calf shed, one watching the lane. Even after a run of grey days all three were still going. Had to adjust the motion sensitivity so grass movement didn't set them off, but that's easy enough to do in the app.
We can see the barn doors and the feed store from the farmhouse. Simple to set up, image is clear. Does what it says.
I can see the yard on my phone and tell the courier where to leave animal feed when nobody is home. Small thing, but it saves a lot of phone calls.
